Phonics intervention

I have started to write a phonics intervention aimed at just reading. It is aimed at SEN children or children who are falling behind in years one and two. It assumes a knowledge and ability to blend but not blend very well. Feel free to download the first session and please let me know what you think by commenting below. I would love feedback.

  1. I work with children alone and in groups throughout the day. This looks like a good intervention strategy to follow as a change to some of my activities I use.

I shall give it a go on Monday. Looking at it I think there is some good ideas thanks x

  2. Thank you for the comment! I have written the next 4 lessons which basically adds another sound each time with appropriate words. Also I have several games to play with the words, there is the connect 3 game, bingo, bang game, pairs game, follow me game etc. I am now adding captions as there are more graphemes to make captions with. Will post a couple more of the lessons. I am starting it the week after next. I think it may work because some children need that repetition and over learning. I am starting easy for my littlies to increase their confidence.
