Snowman soup

Another lovely idea! Children could make these for their parents for a Christmas gift.

Here is my snowman soup. I bought a cheap mug and snowman from 'Home bargains' - 99p, put in a galaxy hot chocolate, and a cadbury's hot chocolate, a candy cane, and some small marshmallows which I labelled as freeze dried snowballs.

Chewy Chocolate chip/smartie cookies

This is the easiest recipe ever for children to have a go at. The result is very much like the cookies you buy in the supermarkets.

100g butter
100g brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
150g SR flour
Choc chips or smarties

Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the golden syrup and mix. Add the flour and choc chips/smarties. Divide into about 10 pieces and roll into a ball. Place on a greased baking sheet spaced well apart. Bake at 180 for about 12 mins. Don't over cook. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

Recipes for children

I made these when my children were younger. They loved these recipes. Very simple and tasty.
